Club Sessions

These are times that members can turn up and play with each other. No need to book, just turn up, make yourself known and join in. All sessions are free.

Green –

New to the game. And players able to serve overhead, maintain a rally of 5 from the base line and who know the basic rules.

Blue –  (Lowest box league)

Players able to serve with double faults being rare, able to use spin and control the direction of the ball with forehands and backhands. Some understanding of tactics. Able to maintain a rally of above 5 in a match situation. Players of a red level or above that have difficulty covering the whole court.

Red –  (3rd team players, Box leagues between lowest and 1 & 2)

Members able to execute all shots, including reliable lobs, drops shots, volleys, overheads.  Able to use and deal with all types of spin on most shots.  Able to anticipate next shots. Able to cover the whole court.

Black–  (1 and 2 team players, Box leagues 1 & 2)

First and second team standard, or by agreement of manager or committee.  Able to compete at the top level of the club.
